Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty - Rádio Svobodná Evropa

RFE/RL has an excellent mission that only nonprofits can offer, yet it is financially stronger than the average nonprofit org, actually beyond the enterprise level (15 yrs of global firms experience here). I've met some of the coolest people here and learned a great deal about journalism(because I wanted to). The problems that you solve here are beyond what's in the textbooks or some regular guidance. It is a very unique environment because of the many cultures hosted here and the challenges stemming from non-democratic societies far away that we mostly safely ignore in our region. It is the first job ever which allows me to genuinely feel good about myself because of how I contribute to society. And I am skeptical, cynical, and very investigative in nature. Some parts of the world are just desperate for the free press and I had no idea about the RFE/RL's impact before...
