mrzí mně, že se nedá více hýbat s pracovní dobou (například končit dříve, než v 17) - v zimě je to trochu blbé, že chodíme za tmy a odcházíme taky za tmy, ale rozumím.

Regrettably, the challenges outlined below often lead to the departure of such quality personnel. *Diverse Industry Exposure: PwC's extensive portfolio facilitates engagement with clients from various industries, fostering an in-depth understanding and valuable connections. However, the experience can vary based on team assignments. While some teams focus on one industry, such as banking, others provide exposure to multiple industries. Unfortunately, you might not have the agency to choose your preferred team. *Travel Opportunities: For those interested in stock counts, travel within the Czech Republic is a frequent occurrence. Furthermore, there's a commendable mileage compensation in place, enhancing the appeal of such assignments. *Excel skills
*Limited Training and Onboarding: Interns receive a mere two-week training that inadequately prepares them for real-world challenges. Past experiences demonstrate a lack of mentoring or support, leaving newcomers to navigate the company blindly, even down to locating their workspace. *Extended Work Hours: The demanding nature of the field is well-known, but it's important to note that this isn't a standard 9-to-5 arrangement, especially for roles beyond the Associate level. *Uncompetitive Compensation: Considering the value contributed to the company, the remuneration of 170 CZK/7.1 EUR per hour seems laughable. This concern extends to senior personnel, exacerbating the core issue. *Employee Turnover and Quality: The culmination of the above factors drives high-quality employees away. Whether due to overwhelming workloads, a lack of work-life balance, or a dearth of recognition, individuals feel compelled to seek opportunities elsewhere. Consequently, this strains both Associates and Senior Associates, who must shoulder the workload void left by departing colleagues. This situation perpetuates a cycle of excessive workload, unsatisfactory pay, poor working conditions, and subsequent departures. *Lack of Employee Recognition: While understanding PwC's corporate culture, the company often makes employees feel more like numbers than valued contributors. Even in comparison to past experiences in the quick-service restaurant industry, the disparity in recognition is remarkable. Departing employees receive a generic email that further accentuates this disconnect, leaving a deeply unfavorable impression. *Inflexible Structure: Despite dedicating almost full-time hours as an intern and achieving top-tier performance, the company's rigid systems and inadequate talent management by HR prevented me from advancing to a higher position, despite endorsements from managers and excellent feedback. Even a meager increase of 10 CZK/0.4 EUR per hour in my salary was denied due to outdated intern rules that demand a completed degree. This archaic approach discourages capable individuals from joining PwC and drives away talented personnel who feel undervalued. *Erosion of Prestige: The culmination of the aforementioned drawbacks has significantly diminished the once-prominent stature of auditing roles. What was once a respected profession has devolved into a basic entry-level job. PwC has begun accepting individuals with just a university diploma, often without the necessary skills, contributing to a scenario where over 50% of interns lack the competence required for the role. This detrimental trend has severely undermined the prestige associated with this position, which has seen a noticeable decline in recent years. (And what is also super embarrassing is that employees wont get branded PWC gifts, they need to buy them:))

S kolektivem v kterém pracuji a relativní volnosti ve své práci.
Občas až přehnaně dlouhé procesy a byrokracie, ale to je v takhle velkých firmách bohužel normální.

I appreciate cafeteria system for benefits, company culture, multinational community of people, diverse learning and development opportunities(e.g. coaching, wellbeing programs), my colleagues and our teamwork, friendly and fair approach from my manager
some processes are complicated - like in many other companies :) In general, some things can be simplified here :) and some digital tools could be replaced by more useful ones
