Tato práce není stereotypní. Žádná událost není stejná a tudíž je třeba o práci přemýšlet. Je třeba nabrat zkušenosti a proto je dobře se učit od zkušenějších. Proto je zde i rozdělení funkcí - velitel, strojník, hasič.

Jelikož je tato práce někdy i velmi nebezpečná, proto je třeba ctít rozkaz a zavedené pravidla. Předejde se tím úrazům a zraněním. I zde se někdy stane, že přes všechnu opatrnost dojde k úmrtí.
