Práce u HZS je splněním klukovských snů. Pozná tu kolegialitu, tvrdou práci, nebezpečí. Je to tvrdé na psychiku, fyzičku, někdy vyčerpávající práce, ale ocenění veřejnosti je vysoké. Nesmí se to dělat pro peníze, ty jsou za hodiny ztrávené v práci vyšší v jiných méně náročných profesích . Je to služba pro lidi.
Čím dál víc to komplikují manažeři, kteří tuto práci dělají čím dál méně atraktivnější
Order and rules
Jelikož je tato práce někdy i velmi nebezpečná, proto je třeba ctít rozkaz a zavedené pravidla. Předejde se tím úrazům a zraněním. I zde se někdy stane, že přes všechnu opatrnost dojde k úmrtí.
Complex tasks
Tato práce není stereotypní. Žádná událost není stejná a tudíž je třeba o práci přemýšlet. Je třeba nabrat zkušenosti a proto je dobře se učit od zkušenějších. Proto je zde i rozdělení funkcí - velitel, strojník, hasič.
