Working environment is very decent, people are friendly and helpful, while management for the most times try to help you and to develop your skills
compensation can be more decent regarding to the amount of work and load of responsibilities you have. Specialists must be compensated more fairly since the load of work falls on them most of the times

One of things that I am most satisfied with working at MSD, is the fact that everyone is encouraged to speak up, you feel included with the "Diversity and inclusion" values, and you get a sense of belongingness
The company creates a good atmosphere in the workplace, where you can trust your coworkers and people from another teams. Any improvement ideas are welcomed without judgement. The company values the people working there and do not treat them as easily replaceable assets. The company focuses on people's development and provide wide variety of opportunities. Internal mobility from a team to team is great, the people often move within the company.
Since the teams are spread around the globe working with colleagues from different time zones is challenging as late afternoon/ early evening meetings are not an exception.
Sometimes the number of online meetings is overwhelming leaving little space to do deep and focused work. It requires a lot of self time-management.

There is a lot of space to solve complex task. The company is constantly searching to automate the simple tasks to free up capacity of the employees to focus on the complex ones.

- it's a bit annoying when we have shared seats, you want to sit somewhere with your team, but a seat is already occupied, plus you always have to set up monitors which is a bit of a pain
- it all depends on the team you are in, it is possible that you may want to use your 5 volunteer days for some activity but the leader won't like it because you have a lot of work in your team that no one will do for you, then you just let your volunteer days go

Core hours are 10:00-15:00, the rest is up to you. Of course, it depends from position to position, somewhere you need to do some activities that have a deadline earlier or later. For some positions it is even possible to work only 4 days a week.

MSD offers work from home, which may be more convenient for some people because of their children. Flexible hours with core hours from 10-15 (depending on the position) can also be an advantage for parents. MSD also organises various courses for children (e.g. IT course) or e.g. children's camps and other events for children at MSD, throughout the year e.g. St. Nicholas Day. MSD also offers extra days off for fathers who have a new baby.

It is not negative, but it is a multinational company with structure and some rules in place, which might not be best fit for everyone
