At the core of the role
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer based in Prague (and nearby) to join our banking project focused on major data transformation initiative and modernizing data warehousing with migration into Databricks. Project is available in hybrid work model.
Core skills you’ll bring
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or BI
- Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data transformations
- Practical experience with Teradata and Informatica
- Strong knowledge of Databricks
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Familiarity with Git and Agile delivery
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Professional proficiency in Czech/Slovak language and intermediate English
The impact you'll create
- Design and develop data warehouse and integration solutions
- Build and maintain data pipelines in Teradata and Informatica
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements
- Support migration activities to the Databricks platform
- Perform data validation, testing, and quality assurance
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiative
Nice-to-have
- Experience with data migrations
- Knowledge of Python or Spark
- Understanding of data modeling and governance practices
