Accounting Hub Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Accounting Hub to lead our Accounting Hub within a Shared Service Center environment in Pilsen. This role is responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and our internal control system, and driving operational excellence across the accounting hub.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with proven leadership capabilities and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Accounting Hub, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, with a focus on sub-ledger processes within Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivables
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting regulations
- Collaborate closely with Headquarter and other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Tax) to ensure alignment and efficiency
- Support audits and act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors
- Monitor performance metrics and service levels within the Shared Service Center environment
- Provide guidance on accounting topics including basic VAT (European value-added tax) matters
- Manage stakeholder relationships at local and international levels
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 15 - 20 employees
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support employee development
- Drive change management initiatives within the Accounting Hub
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or a relevant qualification (in the field of accounting, tax, or similar)
- 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
- Proven leadership experience, including managing teams of up to 15 -20 people
- Experience working in a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment
- Strong knowledge of SAP processes, particularly within sub-ledger accounting
- Basic understanding of European VAT regulations
- Familiarity with financial controls, reporting standards, and process optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- German language skills are a plus
