Obrovská příležitost celý život se učit nové zajímavé věci a do značné míry dělat, co si sám určím. Možnost pracovat s významnými členy Linuxové komunity, s kterými bych se jinak nesetkal.
Je to nadnárodní korporace se vším všudy: povinné formality, ztráta kontroly nad vlastní infrastrukturou, apod.

Můžete se věnovat všem možným částem Enterprise Linuxu na všech možných úrovních. Můžete začít na pozici QA, ale můžete se i podílet na tvorbě balíčků či hackovat kernel nebo opravovat chyby různých komponent.
Security and stability
SLES je stabilní produkt s velkou uživatelskou základnou ve sféře Enterprise. SUSE dlouhodobě a stabilně roste, zaměstnanci, kteří jsou ve firmě zaměstnáni déle než 10 let nejsou výjimkou.

I can use any blend of free and open source software that I want on my desktop No micromanagement Good vibes Anyone can be themselves as long as they aren't a nuisance Engineering management is supportive and understanding
Not a lot of strategic focus. Emerging products get quickly put together, shoved into the market, but then abandoned before they could possibly mature. Pick fewer products, but focus on them, and don't have as high expectations. Pay is not great, not terrible, but that's changing in the past couple years. Benefits are a bit subpar on the whole, but I don't care so much about that.
