About Your Role:
As a Brand & Category Manager, you'll have the opportunity to dive into the exciting world of sweet marketing. Working closely with other Marketing & Sales colleagues, you'll contribute to oversee the development, positioning, and performance of the HARIBO confectionery brands within the Czech & Slovak market. This hybrid role combines strategic brand-building with data-driven category leadership to maximize growth opportunities across all channels and supports the Head of Marketing position in the main related activities and responsibilities in both countries.
You´ll have responsibility for:
- Development and execution of annual brand strategies, marketing plans, and communication activities in line with company objectives.
- Management of brand positioning, visual identity, and product portfolio to strengthen brand equity and market relevance.
- Leading innovation and renovation projects: concept creation, packaging development, product launch planning.
- Planning and monitoring marketing budgets, ensuring efficiency and ROI.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external agencies on campaigns, digital activities, trade marketing materials, and consumer engagement initiatives.
- Analyzing market trends, shopper behavior, sales data, and competitive landscape to identify growth drivers and category opportunities.
- Preparing and delivery category reviews, recommendations, and insights to retail partners and internal stakeholders.
- Development and optimization of assortment strategies, planograms, and shelf layouts to improve category performance.
- Cooperation with Key Account Management on joint business planning, in-store execution, and promotional strategies.
- Monitoring pricing, promotions, and market share development across all major channels.
- Evaluation / analyzing tools for corporate and brand events
- New processes and valuable data analysis
- Communication and order processing with external suppliers in the Czech Republic / Slovakia and abroad (in English)
Unlock the Sweet Spot!
- Education: University degree in Business/Marketing Administration (or similar field). However, we also welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals with relevant experience or other relevant qualifications.
- Industry Experience: Several years (2+ years) in a similar position similar position or professional experience in trade marketing. Experience within the FMCG market is a strong advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Strong communication skills in Czech/Slovak as well as fluency in written and spoken English (min B2) are essential, German would be a great advantage.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a basic requirement, esp. MS Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Knowledge in Nielsen/IRI/GfK or similar data sources is a strong advantage.
- Excellent project management and presentation skills.
- Soft Skills: persuasive communication, assertiveness, analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to work in an office position (the company is based in Brno, Czechia) with occasional trips to retail stores etc.
