About the role:
As Assistant Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily maintenance and repair operations across the hotel. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and plant rooms are maintained to the highest standards of quality and functionality, in line with Four Seasons policies.
What You will do:
- Lead and motivate a skilled engineering team, fostering continuous learning and development.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety).
- Monitor and optimize energy consumption through BMS systems.
- Set daily priorities based on guest impact and operational needs.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for timely repairs and material procurement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Plan team shifts and manage vacation schedules in line with hotel occupancy.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and maintain accurate departmental records.
- Act as a hands-on leader during peak times and represent the department when required.
What You will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- 4–5 years of experience in engineering, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong electromechanical background and facility management experience.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
