Your main responsibilities:

As Regional Manager, you will provide strategic, operational and risk-management leadership across country programmes in Ukraine, Moldova, Syria and Palestine. You will translate CCR’s strategy into a coherent country portfolio, ensure programme quality, compliance and financial health, and lead and support Country Directors in complex and fast-changing contexts. You will be a core member of the HQ senior management team with a direct contribution to CCR strategy and organisational development.

1) Strategic leadership

  • oversee Country Programme priorities aligned with CCR strategy and annual plans;
  • steer the country portfolio (sectors, funding, partnerships) and oversee the regional funding pipeline.

2) Country management and programme quality oversight

  • provide line management to Country Directors and Country Programme Coordinators;
  • lead regular programme reviews covering programme delivery, finance, HR/staffing, compliance, key risks and pipeline;
  • coordinate HQ support (MEAL, Finance, HR, Compliance, Procurement, Security, Communications) to strengthen country capacity and improve systems;
  • ensure adherence to donor rules and CCR policies across the Country Programmes, including safeguarding/PSEA, Code of Conduct, security and data protection;
  • oversee quality assurance of key proposals and donor reports (strategic coherence, evidence, budgets, risks).

3) Representation & external relations

  • build and maintain productive relationships with donors, authorities, partners and networks; support high-level engagement when needed;
  • strengthen strategic partnerships and enable sustainable programme growth and localization.

What we are looking for:

  • significant experience in international cooperation, including field experience;
  • proven experience managing multi-country or sizeable portfolios, including line management of senior staff (Country Director/equivalent);
  • strong strategic/analytical skills, sound judgement, and excellent communication/negotiation skills;
  • ability to perform under time pressure, be flexible, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in fast-paced and multicultural environments;
  • fluency in English (written and spoken), Czech language a great advantage.
